The weather forecast was for rainy periods and showers, but they were a mile off the mark. The day could not have been better with the only downside a slight head to side wind which was not conducive to long casts as was evident in the scores.
Attendance was once again on the light side and it would be nice to see a lot more club members make the effort to come along and enjoy the company of their fellow club members and take up the challenge to see how well they can cast. We even teach people too.
Work commitments have put Chas Riegert in the position where he needed to step down as casting officer, but he will be assisting Terry Willison and myself by doing the computer work which is appreciated. I will help out with the day but I am looking for someone to take over the casting position.
I would appreciate it if casters hopped into and help with setting up the lanes, etc before they put a reel on a rod and wander off and practice. If we need a little extra time to get our gear ready and to do a bit of practice, then I will allow it. If you want to start on time we all need to get down and help set up early. Do not leave it to just a few.
